...maybe not the most inspired. and, surely, not objective. but useful for a nation looking for discover its roots. and its legitimacy. costumes, fights, secrets, enemies, heroism and decent performances. enough for a historical film about one of the most significant personalities of the Ukraine history. who has the purpose to build national patriotism. and, for this reason, for many others, remains a specific film about national past from East, not easy to be understand or accepted by the others. not only for the artistic errors or for political tendencies. but for the simple status of reflection of a nation values, expectations and mythology.
