    Storyline

    Edit
Philip Gardner, a psychiatrist specialising in troubled adolescents, is stabbed to death and Ronnie initially believes that one of his clients is the culprit. However Philip's younger wife Alison lies about her alibi on then night of the murder and it is unintentionally negated by her daughter Lisa. Eventually Alison admits that she believed her husband to be having an affair with a girl called Clare and that she did kill him but she was not in her right mind at the time, striking out in frustration. When her mother tells the police that Alison met her husband when she was his patient Kate questions whether murder is the right charge to put to her though Jake is determined to go ahead and at the trial the true identity of Clare is, somewhat ironically, revealed. —don @ minifie-1

I am a rock in a sea of chaos.
A psychiatric (Mark Frost) was stabbed seven times to death in his office. He was married with two kids. Detectives found a bed in the crime scene where probably the man was practicing sex with his clients. He was specialized in treating troubled teenagers: Brooks and Hawkins begin questioning these problematic kids (one set the curtain on fire in her hometown, another one tries to commit suicide online with a sharp steak knife) but it doesn't seem anyone has ever had sex with the doctor. So detectives narrow the investigation down to the victim's family: they found out his wife was many years back a patient as well and he used to take her to cottages in order to have sex (or rape) her. When some tapes were found in a drawer, recording in which the doctor talked to a girl called Clare, they think they discover a doctor- patient affair; but who is really Clare?

In this episode, what we presume could be a monster, actually didn't do anything wrong. A Sharp previous affair help the district attorney discrediting a woman on the stand.
