A documentary that examines the work of James McCloskey. Mr. McCloskey founded Centurion Ministries, an organization whose mission is to free prisoners who have been wrongfully convicted of murder. It asks how innocent people could be convicted of murder, what could be done to prevent such injustices in the future, and what happens to these innocent people when they are released from prison after years of incarceration? Written by Sheila M. Sofian
Sofian's Truth Has Fallen lifts the veil on the woefully underreported abuses being done even now in our name by a flawed Justice System. She focuses on the heroic people who refuse to accept this state of affairs. The lawyers and common people who fight for those wrongfully incarcerated. It's masterful use of animated images disarms the gravity of the message. This makes it's important points in an easily palatable way. Much of the words are in the victims own words or from interview transcripts. Sofian has made a very personnel statement about a very important topic. I think The Truth Has Fallen is a film who's value will grow with time. Bravo. A great film.
