Bengali movies r no more that stereotype as it used to be
21 April 2014 | by coolboyratulSee all my reviews

For a movie fan who is not so fond of Indian movies. I feel the acting and the story and the concept was nice. Portray of DOEL MITRA n the strong character of not submitting to criticism of society was my favorite part of the movie. Which she actually showed that even in real life she is equally bold in the way she has given the interviews recently. All in all a good movie and a very good attempt to break the shackles of social disapproval to portraying such bold characters on screen by Indian actresses. Loved the mother daughter chemistry portrayed in the movie. Guess to break the hypocrisy of our society these types of portrayal of bold characters is needed more and more. For someone like me who is such a huge movie lover but not so fond of Indian cinemas because they lack the very natural feel to them n more often than not having a LARGER THAN LIFE character as their main lead, has really made me fan of Swastika Mukherjee for her attitude to accept and go through with such a character portrayal. I give it a solid 8/10 for an Indian movie.
