Storyline

Vinayagam (Ajith) is a tough guy and a vegetable wholesale dealer in a village. He is chronic bachelor living with his four younger brothers who dote on him. One day a girl Kopuram Devi (Tamannaah) an architect student comes to the village. Vinayagam slowly gets attracted to her urged by his brothers, who have their love interests. But when she comes to know about Vinayagam's violent face, she distances herself.

Alternate Versions

The UK release was cut, the distributor chose to cut scenes of strong violence (a blood spurt from a cut throat, blood dripping from a man suspended upside down, a heaving beating and the bloody tip of a spear emerging from a man's chest) in order to obtain a 12A classification. An uncut 15 classification was available.

Veeram roars!!!

It's really different film in Ajith's career where he shows massy difference from classy looks he delivered in his previous films. It should be appreciated that he's the only actor in India who's doing stunts without any dupe in his movies. This dedication gives him success when he's doing right movies with right team. And hatsoff to the Siva&Team that even though story is not new to tamil, screenplay and ajith's screen presence should be give applause. DSP has done good job in BGM and theme song. Tamanna added beauty and santhanam asusual delivered good comedies. As, Arrambam is simple... Veeram is Mass family entertainer...
