Trivia

When Adam first gathers his friends, Dave Kim quickly detects that he was only invited to be typecast as Data. When Adam re-gathers everyone and says they don't have to be Goonies this time, Dave asks if that means they'll be Indiana Jones this time and he has to be Short Round. Both Data and Short Round were played by the same actor, Jonathan Ke Quan (as Ke Huy Quan) See more »

Treasure hunt!

You've got to hand it to the producers for going all in on a Goonies episode. The Goldbergs standing in for the movie's characters is one thing, but the score and even Cyndi Lauper's title song really help close the deal.

It's one of those episodes that ends with the family in perfect harmony (which isn't a bad thing) but it also finds adventure in everyday life. It's a good trip.
