In a marked change from what is usually shown on cop shows, Agent Keen (Megan Boone) is chewed out and charged with giving up her firearm when she confronted the suspect. Police agencies have rules against an officer/agent giving up their firearm as she was shown doing. The reason for this is due to once she was disarmed, he could easily shoot her as well as the hostage and others, along with the fact his escape presented a clear danger to many more people. Most if not all courthouses have security checks for entry these days. It is VERY unlikely that Barnes would have been able to stroll into the courthouse carrying the briefcase without having to face a check that would not have allowed him to proceed without examining the briefcase. See more »
