Trivia

The informant the Alchemist is contracted to hide is reported to be a "mob" informant, yet his tattoos indicate he is clearly a member of the Vor (Russian organized crime), and a decorated one at that (pun not intended). The "mob" generally refers to Italian-American organizes crime (Mafia). While the Mafia will sometimes work with other groups, the Vor very rarely, if ever, do. See more »

Goofs

In a common TV sound effect error, the scene in the kitchen when the guns are pointed at people a gun cocking sound is heard. Both guns used did not have external hammers, so they could not possibly make that sound. The sound effect is commonly used for dramatic purposes. See more »

I'm impressed by James Spader's interesting dialogue
20 September 2014 | by kevinwales1955See all my reviews

At first I was not sure whether I would like 'The Blacklist', but after sticking with it I thoroughly enjoyed it because it does not get boring. There is always some good action and the actors; James Spader, who plays 'Red' (Raymond) has a great demeanor even amongst dangerous people - Megan Boone, who plays Elizabeth keen - Hisham Tawfiq, who plays Dembe - Diego Klattenhoff, who plays Donald Ressler - Harry Lennix, who plays Harold Cooper (Head of FBI Dept.) who people might remember from Dollhouse. For me they are impressive in their roles, along with the rest of the cast. I think Megan Boone has a cute face and can show great emotion. I know that in the next episode when she finds out the secret, we will see a great performance from her.
