Trivia

Following the plane crash, Jamie is rescued by a fisherman, played by Haudenosaunee (Mohawk) actor Gary Farmer. The character is apparently supposed be Inuit; his name is given in the credits as "Anik" ("brother", in the Inuit language), and he says repeatedly to Jamie "Tukusigni Namaq", which means "I don't understand." His assumed ethnicity is somewhat at odds with the lush forest surrounding his cabin. See more »

Potential
1 July 2015 | by ottenkarelSee all my reviews

Just watched episode 1, and am eagerly awaiting episode 2.. This series is perhaps a bit far-fetched in terms of believability, but entertaining none the less. Animals working together to overthrow the biggest threat to them: Humans. Many people who have seen the classic: "The Birds", will have wondered about what would happen if all animals started acting the way the birds did. This show promises to explore that option, showing various animals (episode 1 focuses on 1 animal in particular) developing and executing plans and ploys to overthrow the apex predator that man is today. While the show follows the "zombie apocalypse" scripts i still think it's worth watching a few episodes just to see if the creators actually catch the ominous vibe of humans being degraded down the global food-chain.

My verdict based on episode 1: this could be good, if they keep the suspense up, and don't go overboard with CGI animal attacks in future episodes (which would probably end up disastrous)
