Both sides set the stage for their end games. As hoped, Prince Yang Myeong Gun allies himself with the corrupt ministers' plans to kill King Hwon, pledging the support of his good name in quelling the masses in their favor (a much needed protection against spreading rumors of their involvement in killing Yeon Wu). The ministers beseech the King to seek out and punish the rumor authors to the fullest (not knowing the King himself has Investigator Gyu Tae spreading them). As planned, Hwon chides them for wasting no time in decrying this rumor while comparatively spending no time in defense of his royal honor against rumors of sleeping inappropriately with a shaman, rumors he can now openly (and rightly) suspect they started. Queen Yun Bo Gyeong, sensing the coming change, prepares to support the King, but the sight of Yeon Wu changes her mind. With her father abandoning all interest in her, she enlists the deposed Shaman Gwan in leveling a new curse at Yeon Wu, which, with Shaman Jang ... Written by statmanjeff
