- The glee club learns the dance of the hour: twerking. Meanwhile, Marley discovers Jake's relationship with Bree, and Rachel tries to convince Kurt that they both should get tattoos.
- Open with Tina showing everybody hilarious video of Blaine twerking. Will says he wants them to get more edgy to give them a better chance to win at Nationals.
Jake and Kitty give the rest of New Directions a twerking tutorial. Sue watches this.
Rachel shows up at rehearsal with a new haircut. Rupert is furious, reminding her that he is in charge of every decision impacting what the audience sees. She and Paolo perform "You Are Woman, I Am Man". Rupert says he loves it and wonders if perhaps the haircut was a "reverse Sampson."
Unique leaves class to use the restroom. She pops into the girls bathroom and runs into Bree, who isn't happy. Unique begs her not to tell anyone. But this leads to the "great bathroom riot" as students start using the opposite gender's bathroom.
Rachel shows Kurt that she was wearing a wig. She showed Rupert afterwards and he said he might let her keep the cut. She felt like taking a risk and Kurt wonders if it is related to Finn. Kurt wants to do something crazy and they decide to do some drinking and get tattoos.
Sue goes on TV to complain about twerking. She calls it vulgar and pledges to end it at McKinley and public schools throughout the state.
Will tells the kids they are going to draw a line in the sand and blow the debate up. This leads to a performance of "Blurred Lines". Following this, Sue orders Will into her office and fires him.
Rachel and Kurt arrive at the parlor and take a few chugs of the booze. The next morning, the two wake up with hangovers and show off their new art. Kurt's end up being a misspelling: "It's Get Better." Rachel says she backed out.
Unique goes the boys room and gets bullied by some of the jocks. They pull off her wig and flush it down the toilet. Unique sings an emotional rendition of "If I Were a Boy". Sam, Jake, and Ryder want to beat up those who bullied Unique, but she doesn't want it to happen.
Will goes in front of the school board and takes them through dance history, showing them what was considered shocking through the years.
Sue brings Will to her office and tells him she's putting in a unisex bathroom for Unique. It turns out to be a purple Porta-potty covered with question marks bolted to the middle of the choir room.
Kurt goes back to the tattoo parlor to complain. It turns out that Kurt messed up the design when he typed it on his computer. It was his mistake, but the artist asks for the chance to fix it for him.
After making fun of her twerking, Bree tells Marley she hooked up with Jake and proceeds to really rub it in
Marley goes to Jake and asks if what Bree said was true. He admits it and she runs away in tears. Marley sings "Wrecking Ball" in the auditorium.
Unique raises her hand and asks to use the bathroom. Will takes her into the hallway and tells her to be herself until the world catches up. Will says he'll let Unique use the faculty bathroom whenever she needs it. Sue sees this.
Sue tells Will she'll give Unique a key to the faculty bathroom if he stops the kids from twerking. He won't do it, thinking the point is rebelling against an unjust policy. On his way out, Will throws a very Sue-esque tantrum.
Kurt shows up with a tongue piercing and a fixed tattoo. It now says "It's got Bette Midler." He says he's been in a trance since Finn died and thinks the piercing snapped him out of it. After he leaves Rachel pulls up her shirt to reveal she did get a tattoo: A small "Finn" on her stomach.
Will tells the kids they're going to stop twerking. Unique realizes he did it for her, to get ride of the porta-potty. He wants them to go "old school Glee" and they sing "On Our Way".
