Italy's a wonderful country but just a stepping-stone for the many refugees coming from Africa. For those who remain, their option is scraping up some change by pumping gas at self-service stations at night. The law considers them illegals who work illegally, Romans consider them a sure thing. They spend their lonely nights reading, from newspapers left by customers, unrealistic sex ads or financial news which to them, coming from a difficult culture sound rather absurd. Yet they continue to dream of a different life. They are not professional actors but their story is true. Kamal is Moroccan and now works as a barman. Muhammed is Egyptian, he's a writer.
