Trivia

Underneath Bosch's desk pad there are several photos of people, neatly labelled with names. In the Harry Bosch novels it is explained that the depicted people are the victims of unsolved homicides, placed there by Bosch so he would constantly see and never forget to keep looking for the perpetrators. One of the photos in the episode shows a girl named Cielo Azul. In the novels Cielo is the daughter of former FBI agent and friend of Harry''s, Terry McCaleb, rather than a (direct) homicide victim. Goofs

When Bosch and Edgar leave the courthouse (0:42:10) to go to the morgue Harry's hair is long. By the time they get to the morgue Bosch's hair is short. They either stopped at the barber on the way to the morgue or they filmed the morgue scene later and Titus got a haircut. See more »

Well worth the wait.

Anyone who has read the Harry Bosch series by Michael Connelly will recognize the books the pilot is taken from. The transition from print to screen is everything you could ask for and the acting & production values are excellent. Titus Welliver was the perfect choice to play Harry and Valerie Cruz is the medical examiner Theresa Corazon. Though I had not considered Lance Reddick as Irvin Irving, he is very good in that role. The cast is rounded out with such veteran actors as Alan Rosenberg, Troy Evans, Abraham Benrubi and Amy Aquino. I am recommending this program to all my family and friends. I hope Amazon will give the go ahead to start filming more episodes. If they do, I intend to subscribe to the Amazon Prime service.
