Jeremy sets to work getting the farm ready for it's newest residents, some Shandy and Black pigs. Meanwhile Kaleb is annoyed when he spots someone else drilling in his fields.

Jeremy and Kaleb try to work together to fix the farm walls.

Kaleb's experiment with oil-seed planting fails, as he was too late. Neighboring farmers Andy Cato, of the band Groove Armada, and George Lamb introduce Jeremy to the concepts of regenerative agriculture and dual planting, convincing him to try the methods on his half of the farm. They say regenerative farming protects the soil and the insects and reduces the dependence on chemicals and fertilizers. The goal of regenerative farming is to copy nature and try to mix things up. They suggest that Jeremy should plant wheat and another crop at the same time and move away from mono-culture as much as possible. They say wheat and beans are a great combination as beans will soak nitrogen from the atmosphere and fix it to the soil, thereby replenishing it. While the yield of the crops will be lower, but the net margin will be higher.

Andy and George also guarantee to buy any crops grown using their method, at a premium price. Jeremy turns out one field to Andy and George, but Kaleb is not very happy about the same. Jeremy introduces Kaleb and Andy. Kaleb says that Andy is using the disc drill which will not work as their field has a lot of stones. For a stony field, Kaleb says that a till drill works better as it parts the stones and plants the seed in the soil. Kaleb also adds that sorting the wheat and the beans at the end will cost more money.

Jeremy builds 3 big pens in the potato field. Kaleb is off sick, so Lisa has to help Jeremy. They install the fence posts and then put the fence in. Despite numerous setbacks, Lisa and Jeremy manage to put up the fences and the pens without help from Kaleb or Charlie. Clarkson's litter of Oxford Sandy and Black pigs arrives, although efforts to get them to breed are slow to bear fruit. The pigs love the potato field as there is literally food everywhere. But the breeding is slow as the male boar is much smaller than the female sow. As such he is not able to mount her properly for the mating to complete.

Meanwhile, the sheep return to Diddly Squat. Jeremy and Lisa also build a shed for the remaining cows on their farm. Kaleb recovers from his flu, but then goes on vacation for a week. After a week with one sow, the boar needs to be shifted to the next pen to impregnate the next sow. But since the fence posts were not measures properly, the fence doors are not at the right distances, which makes operating them a nightmare for Lisa and Jeremy. Eventually, Jeremy and Lisa have better luck as the boar mates with a young gilt.

Jeremy is faced with increasingly challenging standards to keep the farm shop open. He is not allowed to operate his bar, where he brews and sells his Hawkstone beer, no parking in the fields, and the loos had to go. Even the burger van had to go (this was the only way of selling the meat produced at the farm). Jeremy knew that the restaurant was not coming back, but he wanted to protect the farm shop. Charlie and Jeremy debate moving the farm shop outside of the local council's jurisdiction before deciding to launch an independent appeal.

Kaleb returns from vacation and criticizes the fencing job, as the posts were of an uneven height and not in a straight line. Jeremy tells him how the boar has impregnated the sows and the gilts within a week, which makes Kaleb mad. He says that pig breeding has to be spaced out as they have litters of 10-14. Now, Jeremy will have 50 piglets at the same time, which will be hard to deal with.
