Goofs

When the team are outside the "Todorov" facility, the sign on the gate is clearly printed in Belarussian Cyrilic (good so far), except it reads "Todarau," employing an special Belarussian character as the the last "u" of the diphthong. Maybe a German would make a mistake in pronouncing that as "ov," but a SHIELD agent fluent in 6 languages? Granted it's a short vowel, so in some rendition it might be "av." See more »

I live outside the box

This episode introduced the possibility of ESP which sounds awesome for something to be introduced into the MCU. Instead of ESP, the person of interest actually has a cybernetic implant. While this isn't as cool as telepathy, cybernetic enhancement is still a really cool jar to open. I'm pretty sure that Ian Quinn, who was introduced in the previous episode, had a part to play by using his wealth to create this technology.

This is also a good episode for the insight into Coulson. As he is in the area of training Skye, although Ward is doing that physically he certainly has a hand in it, it is insightful to see how much agents that Coulson train actually mean to him, as actual people he feels responsible for, not just collateral.

The infiltration with Ward and Skye into the Belarus lab was fun to watch. Having Ward try, and fail, to bromance a security guard was awkwardly hilarious. Those diagrams that he found look like some sort of mappings or a blueprint.

A couple complaints I have about this episode start with May. She first started out as an dark, mysterious, quiet agent but she hasn't really changed since then. I'm not expecting a complete change in her but she has barely done so. The only thing that is a bit different is her closeness with Coulson. Another thing is the agent under fire, Amador. She had practically no personality or mood the throughout the entire episode. You could say that she was like that when she was under control. But even after that, there was hardly any change in her performance.

+ Technological advances + Insight into Coulson + Ward/Skye infiltration - Lighten up May - Show some emotion Amador - Would've been cool if someone did have ESP

Final Score: 7.3/10
