    Pretty bad

Caillou has probably got to be the worst possible series to reboot and I genuinely don't know who thought this was a good idea.

The Caillou reboot is an incredibly dull, soulless cash grab, lacking any kind charm. It somehow manages to be even worse than the original, which was already pretty bad. The characters are extremely annoying, especially Caillou with his constant whining. The animation looks cheap and way too colorful, being too overstimulating for young children.

Despite attempts to update the series, the story still has the same boring and repetitive formula as 30 years ago. The show doesn't teach anything valuable and is a complete waste of time both for parents and children. Overall, the reboot is a huge disappointment and definitely not worth your time. There's definitely much better alternatives for your kids to watch.

Not bad as the original was.

I know many people despise Caillou. For how whiny and bratty he can be on some episodes of the original, but some he isn't like that. This new version of Caillou, he is not as bad. I seen the episode where he been overwhelmed over a messy room, but with his favorite superhero, he learned how to make a hard job like a very messy room much easier to tackle. I believe some people are rating this down because of the original, but from what I seen of it, it wasn't bad as some of the episodes of the original, especially on how in this version, Caillou learns how to solve problems and not whine or cry on that something's hard or that he doesn't want to do something. This new version is worth checking out, even if the origibal did seem to get on people's nerves, I'd give this version a chance.

Not as bad as it could've been

Caillou has got to be the most controversial kids show to exist in my time period. Anytime parents are worried about bad influences on kids, Caillou is almost always brought up. So when I heard about this reboot, I thought "What the hell are they thinking?" But I figure if I'm gonna write kids shows as is a lifelong dream, believe it or not, I figured I might as well see a couple episodes of this to see what the state of modern kids entertainment.

There's one thing I like about this show. Caillou might groan more than a kid's supposed to, but at the end of each episode he imagines a fantasy scenario, and in each scenario he ends up teaching himself the lesson he needed to learn. Caillou's big problem is that he's over eager to do things, and he often gets easily frustrated. But I think a lot of non-bratty kids end up going through some of these situations at some point or another. In fact, I noticed distinct similarities in how Caillou wanted to lead the pretend pirate crew in the first episode, often ignoring Rosie, to the way the much lauded Bluey did the same to Bingo in her pilot episode.

Of course, if we're gonna make comparisons to Bluey of all shows, then there are some obvious things to take into consideration. First, the plots are very predictable and don't offer any of the charm or humor that Bluey has. Secondly, whoever plays Caillou is like the only actor in this show who has any semblance of talent. Any realism that this show has comes directly from experiences that kids may have, but chances are they won't be able to teach themselves the lesson every time just by imagining they're in space or in a castle. So the realism also suffers in comparison to Bluey.

My last comment: I like the way they handle the faces in this show. The CGI is simple and doesn't involve a lot of detail, but it's not "horrendous" and the facial animations feel a little more real than in the original 2D show because the eyes and mouths are more well-handled.

So I wouldn't say that Caillou's attitude here is as bad as people would make it out to be. I grew up with Angelica Pickles, and I saw her getting her comeuppance a lot. This show's a little more lighthearted than that. At least Caillou's smart enough to teach himself important lessons.

    Painful to Watch

The Caillou 2024 reboot has managed to take an already controversial children's show and make it even worse. This latest version is a complete disaster that should be avoided at all costs.

Extremely Annoying Characters: If you thought the original Caillou was irritating, brace yourself. The reboot's characters are insufferably annoying, with their whining and tantrums reaching new heights. It's hard to believe, but they've made Caillou even more unbearable.

Ugly Animation: The animation is atrocious. It looks like a low-budget project thrown together with no attention to quality. The characters are poorly drawn, and the movements are jerky and unnatural. It's an eyesore from start to finish.

Annoying Voice Actors: The voice acting is grating and obnoxious. The voices are shrill and exaggerated, making the show nearly impossible to listen to without cringing. Whoever cast these voice actors clearly didn't prioritize the sanity of the audience.

Too Colorful and Stimulating for Children: The color scheme is an assault on the senses. It's too bright, too loud, and too overwhelming for young children. This level of overstimulation is not only unnecessary but potentially harmful.

Do not let your kids watch the Caillou 2024 reboot. It's a terrible show that fails on every conceivable level. From the annoying characters and ugly animation to the irritating voice actors and overstimulating visuals, it's a complete disaster. Your children deserve better than this train wreck of a reboot.

Overall, the Caillou 2024 reboot is an abomination that should never have seen the light of day.

    Masterpiece of a children's show.

I put this on for my kids, but I found myself enraptured by the incredible story and beautiful animation. I have found myself watching every single episode, multiple times, even when my child is sleeping. My child cries every time I put on this show. I have to watch it in secret, as my wife is considering divorce, due to the amount of time I spend on Peacock watching this show. My wife has attempted to cancel our Peacock subscription several times, but I have begun making new credit cards in our name so that I can continue watching this show. 10/10, I would give higher if possible. My one issue is that they do not release enough episodes for me to fully enjoy it. I can't believe I'm saying this, but Caillou is in my top 10 favorite shows I have ever seen.
