Usually, I'd take some time and think about my words carefully before leaving a review, but since the people responsible for producing this movie didn't care about making a good movie, I'm not going to bother trying too hard with my review. Normally, I love Kevin Hart and John Cena and they really gave it their all in this movie. I mean, I think they really tried to make a good movie. But somebody, probably the director, Eric Appel, just didn't do a good job. Everything just seems off somehow. Is this a parody? Is this supposed be in the same genre as Naked Gun? Because if it is, it's terrible. Is this a comedy? Because if it's supposed to be, it isn't funny. Is this an action movie? Because if it is, the action sucked.
I just don't get it. Both the writers, Tripper Clancy and Derek Kolstad, have written for movies and shows that I really enjoyed. But the writing for this is just plain dumb. I don't know if they just didn't care or were forced to write something they didn't want to write, but it's just so childish and lazy.
The acting from everyone involved is clumsy and that's why I suspect the problem is with the direction. I just don't understand why this movie got made. It looks like it's got a budget. It's shot decently. Nothing to write home about, but it suffices, I guess. The audio is pretty terrible, though. There are many parts throughout the movie where the sound goes up and down and it's really off-putting.
I guess, if you have nothing else to watch and you've consumed many, I mean MANY, mind altering beverages and you desperately need some background sounds to listen to as you're passing out, this might hit the spot for you. Otherwise, I'd skip this. It's definitely not worth paying for.

I enjoyed the first Die Hart movie. It wasn't amazing but it was enjoyable and had some original bits. This was not as good. This was kind of like those sequels where they changed all the main actors to save the budget and hope people just watch it for the name. Although in this case the two leads are back.
Die Hart 2 went too far into the campy and awkward end of the spectrum. It also tried too hard to be a parody so that the main thing it ridiculed is itself.
Also what is it with the swearing? It was almost as if they wanted the R rating just from the swearing.
Anyway, if you love Kevin Hart being over the top Kevin Hart, you might like it. I think most people should give it a pass.

And he needs to stop trying.
He doesn't pull it off, all the acting in the world can't make you look less like you'd cry during any emergency.
Characters he can play: short, crying, helpless, crying, helpless, short, and crying.
He's also good at playing the guy with zero coordination or confidence.
And he's a very strong actor in roles where his character is completely spineless and terrified of his own shadow.
Can he do action comedy? Nope. It's like watching a scrawny high schooler beat up trained navy seals that are 4x his body weight, it just doesn't work and you can't believe it even in a comedy setting.

This is highly probably the worst movie i have ever seen, and i've seen a LOT, painful to watch. I lost hour and a half of my life that i'll never get them back. Everything is bad in this movie, the script is bad, no humor at all...everything. Whoever green lighted this thing to be filmed should be sued, and should definitely look for other career. If there was a minus rating I would have given it minus ten. Obviously they tried to make something original and funny but failed miserably in both fields. If someone need an example for something that is opposite of fun and good movie this should be it.

This is a nonsensical script combined with useless directing. The story is just plain silly and before anybody thinks "oh that's how it's supposed to be" I've seen enough to know the difference between mockery and pure incompetence. The comedy of course is forced all the way through- like a typical quirky modern marvel movie, it feels cheap. Kevin Hart is playing himself just like he does in every single movie and the whole schtick is getting old. This movie is a complete waste of time and for those who find this entertaining and hail it as 10/10 you need to learn more about what movies are out there or it's just a bot. It baffles the mind how even cheap comedies are degrading in quality- modern cinema summed up.

KH stumbled as the leading role in this movie. The first 10-15 minutes required him to deliver so much dialogue it was clear he's in over his head in this stage of his career. He is a decent co-star and can deliver some comedy when needed. But this was a hard watch because he was struggling to be relevant in his own movie.
I'll give him 2 stars for convincing Hollywood backers to make this film. If it was anyone else they would have tossed this script into the fireplace. I'm a fan of KH and know that he can be funny unfortunately parodying yourself in a parody movie is a negative in my book. Comes off as a joke and it wasn't even funny the first time around.

I don't know why nobody else pointed this out, but they seem to have compiled 'Die Hart' TV Series into a "new movie". I started getting the intense feeling of a Deja Vu while watching 'Die Hart 2: Die Harter' and couldn't quite put my finger on why it all seemed so familiar. After a bit of web surfing I found out the exact reason - I watched the same thing in a TV series format 'Die Hart'. Every single plot point. I fast-forwarded through this "new movie" trying to find out whether I could simply be wrong or if they were trying to show parts of the old story to people who haven't seen the series in order to reveal the next plot point, but it was exactly as I feared - the same exact thing from the series, with bits and pieces cut out to fit the feature film length.
I honestly couldn't believe they would do such a shameless money grab, it's like a whole new low.

Sadly Kevin making his own movies just isn't working. Be it the directors, producers I don't know. Love Kevin Hart normally but the last few movies I've watch of his have been unbelievably bad. Does nobody watch these things back before they release them. This is just cringy and embarrassing to watch. The female actor is just so false and such a bad actress it is pitiful yo watch
Story line is awful and it is just not funny at all
Kevin Hart desperately needs a new crew or a different audience to pre watch these things before even attempting to release them into.the market as the criticisms will just pile up.

I'm quite surprised how negative the reviews are, I found this to be a good comedy and an excellent sequel!
If You are in for the action, You probably will be disappointed: It's comedy with action sequence that were x clearly made for a comedy.
The movie is excels we're other sequels disappoint: It continues the story, the characters stay true to the first part, it reminiscences the plot of the first one, but doesn't copy it.
There are also some twists that don't write movie history but did me make laugh pretty hard. After the let down that the movie Lift was, this is again a good and funny movie with Kevin Hart!

This film is getting lots of hate, 4.2...really? Thats just not realistic.
Its not a sub 5 movie, not at all. I honestly chuckled all the way through it....better than 99% of netflix rubbish that gets pumped out anyway.
It is silly, it does have some writing flaws but it has a nice message and rounds off well and contrary to some reviews, its not badly shot. Most importantly its just a fun little movie.
Kevin Hart plays Kevin Hart who plays Kevin Hart in a behind the scenes movie universe. Some action, a nice message and plenty of laughs..oh and the final fight scene was pretty well done considering. When you see it you will understand. Schwartz did a lot of the heavy lifting and Hart was Hart and it felt like improve some of the time but it was a decent comedy. Not perfect but decent.
I really cant believe the low rating of this after seeing the ratings of all the rubbish that has been pumped out over the last few years The hate is really unnecassary. I read the negative reviews and a 1 is really not justified. I could film a highstreet anywhere in the world on my phone, realease it uncut and your saying that would be equal to Die Hart??? Its a 5 all day but i gave an extra one for the unjustified 1 ratings.

Seriously, where does this cr*p come from? Is Hollywood so totally devoid of new material that we are reduced to this nonsense? Absolutely and utter trash, even worse than the Marvel world trash and that's saying something. Where have acting skills gone? Drama used to be good and full of method actors who take their profession seriously rather than this short attention span quick scene cutting rubbish that just goes from scripted fight scene to scripted fight scene with what you could loosely describe as a plot woven in between scenes. Go and watch movies from the 40's to 60's and see what real cinema is.
If you don't appreciate dry sense of humor scenes and lines, then this movie isn't for you. The movie is made to be corny with a driven story line. Anything Kevin Hart is in comes with some corny one-liners. However, this is why we love him! The second one is more comical than the first. The first has a better story line, but this is a must watch! The acting is GREAT and they nailed their parts. Anybody that doesn't enjoy the first one, will not enjoy the second one. These movies accommodate an audience that has views of loving the predictable "OMG" laughs and moments. This a good movie to watch with friends that share the same sense of humor of you!

I am reading all these reviews about how bad this movie is..... FFS, it's a SATIRE!
Clearly, this is not any attempt at cinematic genius, it's a take on how stupid the entire industry is, with a silly plot, over the top writing, and comedic acting.
The people reviewing these movies need to stop watching Kevin Hart movies for the potential Academy awards it is for sure to win for its dramatic contribution to the history of cinema.
These people are the exact same geniuses who will watch Adam Sandler movies for the amazing, complex plot lines. Give me a break.
Rate and review these according to their goal, not your ideals of movie making. For a satire, this was a good movie. Make more, Kevin Hart. Watching for the reason of mindless satire, it works.

I like Kevin Hart and John Cena and enjoy movies about movie making; but, this was something else. It is as if it tried to be Naked Gun one minute, Get Shorty the next, then Misery ...I don't think it knew what it was trying to be. Perhaps it was the directing; but, the writing seemed disjointed and the acting awkward and clumsy. I'm not sure it would even be a good way to pass the time when there was nothing, nothing at all, left to watch. I wish I had spent the time reading a decent book. Not sure how movies like this are allowed to be made; but, it seems that with streaming options and direct to DVD, the bar has been lowered....and yet the movie industry wonders why theater ticket sales are dropping. I was disappointed by this movie and I did not even leave my living room. I cannot imagine how I would feel had I paid to see this in a theater. If you have nothing else to watch, try this; but, be prepared to turn it off half way through.

I have never wrote a single review once in my life on anything ever... not once.. this movie was so terrible I feel the need to try to save anyone the time and if your a Kevin Hart fan as myself the MAJOR!!! DISAPPOINTMENT!! The first one was terrible as well. I understand what they were going for but they completely failed horribly. You would think people that make movies for a living would have some idea from a good and terrible movie. I mean I'm sure they spent a decent amount of time and money making it so you would think they would want it to be a success but with this one it's like someone was "paid to lose the fight" so to speak in this case.- if that made any sense lol.
If I could have put 0*'s I would have seeing there are so many good actors in both the first and second movie it makes it that much worse!

As many here, I absolutely dont understand the point of this movie. Lets not even go in John Cena who is apparently everywhere now, even though he cant play at all.
But the plot, the main idea, the script...I just dont get it. Maybe he already lost his mind with all the fame and money he has? The only thing that is kinda on point is who he is in real life. Thats literaly the same in this movie as well....that one is on point. Showing his real face, that was really good in this movie.
If I could give it negative stars I would definitely do it.
Waste of time which I will never get back. DONT WATCH THIS PLEASE.

The narrative zigzagged through genres without warning. It plunged into the tense drama. This erratic genre-hopping resulted in a story that lacked direction and coherence.
It's possible that the erratic pacing and tone were due to the director's inability to harness the film's dynamic. However, the writing also played a part in the film's shortcomings. The humor often missed the mark, the plot developments seemed contrived, and the storyline progressed awkwardly. The performances, while earnest, were unable to transcend the script's limitations.
In all honesty, this movie falls short of being a worthwhile watch, even as a last-ditch option. It fails to engage, to the point where I found myself longing for the simple joy of reading a book-a desire that speaks volumes about the film's lack of entertainment value.
The production of such a movie is perplexing, especially in an era where streaming platforms and direct-to-DVD releases are abundant. This trend may contribute to the declining standards of film quality and the drop in cinema ticket sales. Experiencing this disappointment at home was bad enough; I can only imagine the regret of spending money to watch it in a theater.
Should you find yourself with no alternatives for entertainment, you might consider watching this film. But be prepared: there's a good chance you'll be tempted to switch it off in favor of something-anything-more engaging.

If they remove all the times they take Lord's name in vain, they're would be no script.
I would have to say this is the WORST WORST WORST movie I've ever watched!
Super stupid after the first 5 minutes, which was actually kinda good.
I forced myself to finish watching hoping it would eventually pick up, but NOPE!
The concept wasn't bad but execution was horrible!
WOW Kevin should be completely embarrassed by this. And I didn't even watch the first one!
Weird you have to keep writing to do the review, but I guess I'll say it again..... WORST MOVIE I'VE EVER SEEN. And I've seen HUNDREDS of movies.

Everytime before a review i go and check a few of the previous reviews just to see the general feeling of peoples and often, just in this case, i see a ton of super negative reviews like 1 or 2 out of 10 and i just ask myself why?
Is this the greatest comedy of all time? No. Is this the greatest action movie of all time? No. Its a Kevin Hart movie on a streaming platform in the vain of a self parody (Kevin Hart plays an exagerated version of himself).
I wasn't expecting this to be a memorable movie. All i wanted was to have some fun for a one time watch with a few beers and move on. Thats exactly what i got.
I am a movie fan, i watch 150 movies a year, wich 90%+ are movies i never saw. Yet i know my "style" of movies and i try to go to watch what i enjoy. There is plenty of movies peoples give great reviews wich i know they ain't my type of movies, so if i do decide to watch them i keep that in mind and i stay fair.
Otherwise i do enjoy direct to video action and comedy, or action-comedies like this movie. I do enjoy Kevin Hart as an actor so i got what i expected. I judge these movies on what they are. They not supose to be the next John Wick.
So to get back in the movie beside Kevin himself, i enjoyed the majority of the other characters too. John Cena once again go for a crazy different type of character that is hillarious to watch despite his small screen time. Nathalie Emanuelle is once again entertaining as the "No BS" sidekick.
And one thing i really enjoy is that lately i notice more movies who are translated in Quebec start using our own profanity instead of a more "international" type and thats really cool to hear. Its not like those hockey movies like Slapshot who use the super thick accent, they keep it "regular" but put a few "tabarnak" and such in and it really crack me up.
So to sum it up, its a fun disposable movie for movie fans, the ones who eat movies a ton. If you are a selective person and only watch one every week or so, sure you can skip it and wait for a "bigger blockbuster". Thats not it.

I love Kevin Hart but wow was this the worst movie ever. Seemed like a movie lacking any real direction or guidance along the way I understand the free flowing concept but it was executed so poorly it lost any value early on and never got it back and yes I watched the entire horrible train-wreck. Do not do this to yourself, pass, Hard Pass on this mess.
I would suggest a spinal tap over this. Or perhaps find the nearest traffic jam and jump in and spend some time breathing the vapors, all of this will be less painful.
And once again I love Kevin Hart, just was not the right movie. Hope we get something better than this soon.

The critical reviews of Kevin Harts second movie, "Die Hart 2", are surprising to me. Amidst the vast landscape of contemporary low-budget films, the movie stands high in my book as a continuation of established comedic themes and narrative contours from its first film and is on theme with Kevin Hart's content. Viewers acquainted with the first film are likely to recognize a nuanced familiarity with the comedic tonality and overall ambiance characterizing the sequel. Looking at it from the entertainment and humor angle, the movie kept me engaged with its humor and storyline. The cliffhanger at the end leaves me eager for more, sparking hopes for a third movie in the series.

"Die Hart 2: Die Harter" is a wild ride, folks! Kevin Hart is back, and this time he's cranking the action up to 11. If you loved the first one, you're in for a treat because this sequel doesn't hold back.
Hart brings his A-game with his trademark humor and relentless energy. The movie is packed with insane stunts and laugh-out-loud moments that will keep you glued to the screen. It's a perfect mix of comedy and action, with some surprising twists that keep things fresh.
The supporting cast is stellar too, adding depth and more laughs to the mix. The storyline is engaging, and while it might be over-the-top at times, that's exactly what makes it so fun.
Overall, "Die Hart 2: Die Harter" is a must-watch for action-comedy fans. It's got heart, it's got humor, and it's got some seriously cool action scenes. Grab some popcorn, sit back, and enjoy the ride!

Hart 2 Real" is a regrettable example of a film that overestimates itself. Dominated by Kevin Hart, the movie fails to present a convincing action figure. Instead, his character is characterized by self-absorption and unsympathetic traits, making it difficult for the audience to identify with or even watch him.
The plot is convoluted and illogical, resulting in a film that is neither gripping nor entertaining. Rather than thrilling audiences with exciting action sequences, they are left bored with mundane and predictable scenes. It lacks depth and innovation, making "Hart 2 Real" feel like a cheap imitation of other, more successful action movies.
Overall, "Hart 2 Real" is a bitter disappointment and should be avoided. There are plenty of other films worth watching that offer a more satisfying experience to viewers.

What a foul-mouthed movie. I've seen plenty of Kevin Hart movies that were hilarious, where his character shined through and he didn't use this kind of language. I don't know, maybe this goes back to his old comedy schtick from his earlier years, but he has evolved beyond that and made a name for himself as something better. And after the Jumanji movies, he became well-known and liked by children. So what a disappointment to see he chose to make this (and the prior) movie back in what I consider to be low budget, low-life comedy, where you rely on dirty words more than talent. I hope he leaves this franchise in the past and goes back to what he is so good at, being a clean cut, likable and charming man.
