The film focuses on the typical cop vs thief rivalry with no effort to make it even a bit beyond the regular. The heist scenes seem exaggerated and the flamboyant hero appears invincible.
However, Melanie Laurent clearly focuses on the cinematic experience itself. The calm tones and perfect color grade makes every scene so beautiful. The score to back it up and the audio create an ASMR-like atmosphere.
And of course, the cast in itself does a decent job with the key focus being on the flamboyant Bruno(Lucas Bravo).
The film is fun to watch thanks to its fast pace and amazing setting. While it doesn't aim at being a thriller, it does succeed as a treat on a Friday night.

.... worshipping villains shall we? There is nothing glamorous about what this guy did.
OK no shooting that is good. But still gathering immense wealth illegally like tax haven millionaires when most people have to work is not a good role model
He is NOT Robin Hood; he does not steal from the rich to give to the poor; he steals from the rich jewels so he can wear them and go to island paradises
Not a good guy. So let us stop. Granted he is no Mesrine Mesrine: Killer Instinct (2008) but still
To the film: very well put together. Exceedingly handsome lead male and female; him ½ Italian ½ Spanish ethnically; her fully Italian hence the comely features on both
They are very believable; the action ace the supermarkets scene fantastic as regards nostalgia value complete with period tins on the shelves; the cars the clothing all that is brilliant
I read the real life bio and it is fairly close to what happened in the main lines
Enjoyable well-crafted but for me the hero-worship here mars the piece; I am sure that will not be a factor for many.

In one word, "terrible." A truly mindless film, with no interesting story or good acting. This film was really made just to insult the viewer's intelligence and there is no art in it, neither the art of screenwriting, which is a complete copy of other films, nor the art of acting, which is completely banal and jumps from scene to scene without any real attention to the story. Why did they spend so much money on actors and filmmakers for such a terrible story? Why did they make such a childish film? It is not at all clear what happens at the end of the film? It is not at all clear how he conspires with the prison officer at the end, it is not clear what his connection is with the appearance of his favorite girl at the end of the film.

- TriviaBruno Sulak (1956-1985), also known as ''the gentleman robber'' and former French Foreign Legion soldier -began his career in crime in the late 1970s with a series of armed robberies of French supermarkets. He is said to take pride in never having injured anyone during holdups in Paris and the French Riviera. In July of 1983 Sulak, tanned and dressed in a tennis outfit, stole an estimated $4.3 million worth of jewelry from a Cartier branch in the resort town of Cannes, France. He made a successful break from Albi prison in 1980, and escaped again in 1982 during a transfer from Montpellier to Lyon. He suffered severe injuries when he jumped from the prison building during a botched escape attempt when cornered by guards while serving his sentence in Fleury Merogis, France and Sulak died in March of 1985.
