It is 1986, and with most of the mafia family bosses in jail, it is every man for himself. One gangster sees chaos as an opportunity: John Gotti.
This episode also has the "Mafia Cops", their relationship with Anthony "Gaspipe" Casso; and how the book "Mafia Cop" (intended to dispel Mafia rumors) actually helped take the cops down.
Sal Polisi testifies against Gotti, and Gotti's attorney still thinks Polisi was a "low life" and a "scoundrel". This is a tough one, because although Gotti was a big-time criminal, Polisi is hardly the most trustworthy witness. He has taken his "mob associate" title and really tried to cash in on it, saying some ridiculous things.
Lin DeVecchio is again shown talking about Greg Scarpa's murderous history, and again no one bothers to point out that Devecchio may have been responsible for keeping Scarpa on the streets and feeding him intelligence.
