Breakfast

Some absolutely lovely close-up insert shots to convey the unnerving mystery of this telekinetic entity that must make the morning routine and breakfast a hell to get through. The telekinesis and later control of the character's body is quite convincing. Reminded very much of Peter Strickland's use of sound design and liquids to create a sensual experience. Using the cereal bowl as the visual motif, it starts off with blood dripping into milk and it just keeps escalating the tension. The effects are great, particularly the coffee machine injury which drew winces from the audience. It ends ambiguously and definitely is thought-provoking. Impressive work for a team of three, and looking forward to more from Shaun Munro.
