Trivia

The film's early working title was Miracle, but director Sang Man Kim changed it because he thought it disclosed the ending, while he hoped the unfamiliar term lirico spinto would arouse Korean viewers' curiosity. Lirico spinto, or "pushed lyric" in Italian, refers to a tenor voice that is versatile enough to sing in the style of a lirico, a singer with a softer voice and a spinto, one with dramatic voice; Bae could do both. Crazy Credits

The end credits state that the film is based on a true story (as it really is), yet they include in small letters the standard disclaimer that "all characters are entirely fictitious, and any resemblance between them and real people is pure coincidence." See more »

Inspiring True Story
24 July 2015 | by kmokaSee all my reviews

Bravo! This inspiring true story of Asia's finest Opera voice is a beautiful testimony of abiding friendship, trust and love. The story dramatically unfolds in the cut-throat world of the Opera music industry.

Mr. Jae-Chul is played by Ji-Tae Yu; however, the audio soundtrack of the operatic performances are taken from real live recordings of Mr. Jae-Chul's voice before tragedy strikes. In my opinion, just getting to listen to the soundtrack makes this movie a worthwhile event.

Sawada's enduring friendship and faith in Jae-Chul before and after the tragedy makes one realize that true friendships are a necessity in even the most cut-throat of industries.

I just heard Mr. Jae-Chul sing in Tokyo last Sunday. Sawada was still at his side and Jae-Chul is still magnificent!
