A lady goes to the help of a sick woman, and her dog Bosco accompanies her. Reaching the house, she enters, and is received by two evil-looking men, but, taking no notice of them, she makes her way to the woman's bedside. After giving her medicine, she turns round and sees the two men are lounging round the table where her handbag is lying. She quickly takes her leave. She soon hears footsteps behind, and before she can scream, she is seized from behind and thrown into an old cellar where there is no outlet except a little barred window. In the meantime the two scoundrels have decamped with her handbag containing her money. She sees at the window the faithful Bosco. Having in her pocket a paper, she manages to scrawl a message which she fastens round the dog's neck, and telling him to run off to his master, she awaits the result.
