Join Brian as he tries to prove that his former best friend and punk rock band-mate's death was anything but an accident. Filled with humor, social commentary, and mystery, its script has been called "brave", "entertaining", "hilarious", and "destined to become a cult classic". In Overdose: Death of a Punk Rocker, we are introduced to Brian: former bass player/song writer for the now famous punk rock band, "The B-movie Nightmares". He currently sells guitar strings at Mr. G's guitar store in Houston, Texas. Even though he missed his big break, Brian keeps a positive outlook. Plus, it was his choice to leave the band, even though he and Brad were at one point the best of friends. It's all because Brad let Snarf into the band. Snarf is a tall, skinny, crazy junkie. There are no limits to the lows he'll go through for the latest buzz. His shenanigans to make Brian understand his addictions seem never-ending. One shenanigan in particular leads to Brian's exodus from the band. Brian was so... Written by Yarotsky, D.J.

A Soon to Be Cult Classic Proving that Punk Rock will Never Die!
29 July 2015 | by Andrew_C_HowardSee all my reviews

What makes a film a cult classic? Original characters? Memorable lines? An original story that the average person can relate? Being indie? These things help, but what truly makes a film a cult classic are the fans. Those of us who have found that rare gem of a film that has slipped through the cracks and into our hearts. A film in which you get to share the experience with a loved one who isn't in the know. Could this film be the Clerks of this generation or, dare I say, the Rocky Horror Picture Show? Only time will tell. But, we'll never know until you watch this film for yourself. I laughed. I cried. I fell in love. I was shocked to see a film with an original thought, sophisticated dialogue and special effects you couldn't imagine for a guerrilla indie production. This film will keep you on the edge of your seat wondering what will happen next. If Seth MacFarlane wrote a film, directed by Kevin Smith and produced by Lionsgate, we would have a film half as good as Overdose.
