Enjoyable

A meta-film that could be suspected of dealing with only first world problems and being of interest only to the people in the filmmakers' vicinity. However, it is put together neatly, with some nice performances, so it ends up being engaging and thus enjoyable.

A nice meta exercise

Warning: Spoilers
Very spirited and warm, the film is a fun exercise in meta filmmaking and impressively made for such an independent production. Humor is subtle but present however it doesn't translate well (although the subtitles are competent).

The ending too is very poignant with a little twist, and throughout the film there are a couple of great shots (watch out for the emotional discussion after the "swim"), however a lot of the shots could have been much better with only subtle changes.

The shaky cam is also overused and actually made the viewer nauseous, and ironically (and surprisingly for such a short movie) the script could have used more cuts, as the early dialogues between the actor and director seem forced and overlong.

... still the directors best work so far !!!

one of the few examples in croatian filmmaking that a good script is far more important than all the production value money can buy.

also great authentic acting!!!

If you belong to this group you will find this movie enjoyable on so many levels, me being familiar with the directors vita i like how secretly semi-autobiographical it is and that it kind of forshadowed the two movies he made after this (which im gonna watch soon). i would recommend this movie to any aspiring filmmaker especially from the balkans.

the movie has only four actors, two of whom carry most of the movie but its well acted from all of them. cinematography for this type of movie was more than okay, the few scenes where they missed to use a gimbal or stabilized lense would be nitpicking. i really enjoyed this movie, especially since its from croatia, i binge watched a lot of croatian movies during the last 12 month, most of them are subpar and this one is definetly NOT one of them !

I give this movie a (yes im biased and belong to the group mentioned above) 8/10 because it is enjoyable while at the same time sort of educational. Kudos to the director and his crew.
