A young actress works at a theater and dreams of being on stage. Having been caught walking on stage, Stella is told she will get fired. Her world collapses but her dream comes true. The leading actress breaks a leg on stage. Stella knows the piece by heart. Or is it all too good to be true?

Because the set at the Old Vic was copyrighted another stage with a proscenium arch had to be found to shoot the actors on it. After asking over 50 theaters in London the production had to use the New Bradford Playhouse.
