$125m wasted
13 June 2020 | by frankleonhardtSee all my reviews

You can see where the money went in making this film, but this doesn't make up for the cringing awfulness of it. The dialog, the plot, the editing - truly disastrous. It's so bad it could become a cult classic.

You sometimes get a glimpse of some good performances trying to get out, but they're ruined by the dreadful script.

Some of the photography of Ireland is beautiful, and the music pleasant enough. But the only thing that could make this film worse would be a longer running time.
