The visually striking 1930s power plant control room location features rows of panels and an elliptical stained-glass ceiling thus appearing both equally period and futuristic at the same time. The structure has been likened by production designer Jefferson Sage as a "fantastical Flash Gordon (1980) spaceship bridge".
