Hardcore Henry (2015)
Hardcore Henry is an action film told from a first person perspective: You remember nothing. Mainly because you've just been brought back from the dead by your wife (Haley Bennett). She tells you that your name is Henry. Five minutes later, you are being shot at, your wife has been kidnapped, and you should probably go get her back. Who's got her? His name's Akan; he's a powerful warlord with an army of mercenaries, and a plan for world domination. You're also in an unfamiliar city of Moscow, and everyone wants you dead. Everyone except for a mysterious British fellow called Jimmy. He may be on your side, but you aren't sure. If you can survive the insanity, and solve the mystery, you might just discover your purpose and the truth behind your identity. Good luck, Henry. You're likely going to need it...

    • Trivia
      Henry was played by ten different stuntmen and cameramen including director Ilya Naishuller. He was originally played by Russian stuntman/camera operator Sergey Valyaev but the camera rig used in production eventually caused him severe neck pain and the role was given to Andrei Dementiev--who also suffered neck pain as well in addition to losing a tooth after being struck by a stuntman. In the scenes where Danila Kozlovskiy and Sharlto Copley talked directly to Henry, Valyaev and Dementiev wore shades to prevent the actors or actresses from looking at them instead of the camera.
    • Goofs
      While chasing the Slick Dmitry on the roof in first Jimmy quest, Henry jumps the building via a sling rope; he first holds a black rope, but when he lands in the rubbish box in the street, the rope is pink.

    An underrated film that is just plain fun to watch
    Within a couple of minutes of the opening credits, "Hardcore Henry" takes off on its wild ride, and doesn't stop until the ending credits. It is just a good old fashion action film, with gunfights, explosions, crazy stunts, good guys, bad guys, weird people, twists, turns, and most of all, non-stop action.

    The film has no message. There is no propaganda that it tries to push. The films entire purpose is to make its audience forget their problems and just enjoy themselves for a couple of hours (and the filmmakers succeed in that goal).

    "Hardcore Henry" is a film to watch.
