The Netherlands, Norway, Finland Pick Oscar Submissions
Norway, The Netherlands and Finland have selected “Out Stealing Horses,” “Instinct” and “Stupid Young Heart,” respectively, to vie for a nomination in the international feature film category of the Oscars.

Directed by Hans Petter Molands, “Out Stealing Horses” was chosen over Dag Johan Haugerud’s “Beware of Children” and Eirik Svenssons’s “Harajuku.” Based on Per Petterson’s novel, the movie is set in 1999 and follows a lonely 67-year-old man who discovers that his neighbor is someone he knew back in 1948. “Out Stealing Horses” won the Silver Bear in Berlin.

“The film’s sensual and inner tranquility reverberates in very beautiful scenery and a nicely tuned actor ensemble that is needed to lift the film’s themes and seamless shifts between different time periods,” said Norway’s Oscar committee. “Out Stealing Horses” was produced by Turid Øversveen and Håkon Øverås for 4 ½ Fiksjon. Bill Cosby’s Father’s Day Message Says He’s Still “America’s Dad”, Internet Quickly Disagrees
Bill Cosby may be in prison, but he is still trying to make sure that people know he is still around — or at least someone from his social media team is. On Sunday, the 81-year-old actor’s Twitter and Instagram accounts posted a video in honor of Father’s Day — and people weren’t really here for it.

The post included an old video of Cosby talking about slavery and racism in a classroom with the caption, “Hey, Hey, Hey…It’s America’s Dad…I know it’s late, but to all of the Dads… It’s an honor to be called a Father, so let’s make today a renewed oath to fulfilling our purpose — strengthening our families and communities.”

Social media quickly responded as they were not a fan of him posting this message. Some Twitter users simply asked “Why?!” while others were very blunt, calling him

Bill Cosby Calls Himself ‘America’s Dad’ in Father’s Day Instagram Post – It Doesn’t Go Over Great
Father’s Day was celebrated by many on Sunday, including the incarcerated Bill Cosby, who called himself “America’s Dad” in an Instagram post. That label — and the message in general — wasn’t received so well by several users.

“Hey, Hey, Hey…It’s America’s Dad…I know it’s late, but to all of the Dads… It’s an honor to be called a Father, so let’s make today a renewed oath to fulfilling our purpose — strengthening our families and communities,” Cosby’s post read.

It also includes an old clip of the now-disgraced “Cosby Show” star talking about the history of slavery and racism in America.

Andrew Wyatt, a spokesperson for Cosby, told TheWrap on Monday that his client asked a Father’s Day message be posted from him on social media in support of a group called Man Up.

  • Deadline
The effects of the WGA and Ata breakup are being felt beyond Hollywood.

Speculation has been growing in UK industry circles about how local agencies might be affected by the mass firing of agents by WGA members in the U.S.

In an effort to shore up any potential cracks, Goodman said that “in accordance with Working Rule 23, both U.S. and UK-based agencies must sign the Code of Conduct in order to represent you for WGA-covered work.” (Read the letter in full below.)

The message was clear: the WGA’s new regulations extend across borders. Workarounds will not be tolerated. But it’s not yet clear if any UK agencies have signed up
