The Boston police are on high alert after a man in a clown suit tries to force a 10 year-old boy into his car. The case is eerily similar to a kidnapping that occurred in 1988 when 10 year-old Nick Hamilton was taken by a man in a clown suit. The boy's body was never found and the man in the clown suit was never caught despite 3 other attempted kidnappings. Old evidence leads them to the clown - and his killer. Elsewhere, Frost is upset with Maura after his girlfriend seeks her advice and she decides to pursue her dreams. Jane and Casey are coming ever closer to having to make a decision about their future.
