I waited years for this sequel, which apparently was delayed even further just to throw in some Trump jabs (which are few and far between, and rather pathetic to say the least).
I didnt find this overtly political or anti-Trump, as others have said. Worse than that, it is just plain BORING. There is maybe a chuckle or two, at best. For having Moon Nazis and Hollow Earth Vrill, this is an absolute, meandering bore. Dont bother, and dont waste good alcohol trying to make this something it is not (good).
There are a few highlights, such as Vrill Pope and Vrill Bin Laden in the midst of a triceratops-mounted chase. Also a Holy Grail infused but all too brief fight with a T-Rex mounted Vrill Hitler. That is about it, sadly.
Downvote me if you want, but I know I was one of the first to discover the original Iron Sky, and despite its faults I give it 7/10. I can neither hate this sequel enough to go negative (below neutral 5) nor give it even a 6 (slight positive overall) as it truly fails to reach even that. So 5/10 (lukewarm)
Sadly, you would be better off skipping this and watching NAZIS AT THE CENTER OF THE EARTH instead. While a blatant, Asylum-like rip off of Iron Sky (2012), it handles the concept of Hollow Earth Nazis in a much more appreciable manner with appropriate camp. Despite it's likely lower budget, it is far more entertaining, overall, than this (perhaps because it tries to maintain some level of seriousness, which in itself makes it more camp comedy gold. Not to mention Mecha-Hitler)
