Golan is the dark lord of an alternate universe that comes to our world and is befriended by a little goth girl and her family. Buffoonery ensues as he deals with everyday life.
At first glance Golan the insatiable looks like the sort of show filled with profanity and cheap humor. As a result I was reluctant to give it a try, however i am certainly glad I did. The structure of the show itself is pretty simple, it follows the misadventures of Golan, a brutal god- lord and dark ruler from another realm, and his best friend/ squire of sorts, Dylan, a 9 year old goth girl. Though Golan may be an evil dark lord, he is primarily concerned with his young companion and the dynamic between the two of them is really quite charming. Though the show contains its fair share of crude humor, the show itself is actually pretty smart. Situational Irony combined with both dark humor and subtle plot themes make the show really quite amusing. The most impressive aspect of this show is how it manages to be both dark and silly. Going in with an open mind, this is a show that most anybody would enjoy.
