One of the few series that are actually allowed to adorn themselves with the genre action. There's not much to say. It's about the simple things in life (violence, tits, guns and gangsters). And yet the plot is amazing. At first the series was too brutal, too superficial for me. But over time there is more depth, the characters develop and the initially quite superficial plot turns into an interesting mix of different "interest groups" that violently collide.
I mean c'mon... how does ANYONE give this series more than 2 stars? A town with a casino, nudy bar, military base with tens of millions in a secret vault, an airport, huge drug manufacturing factories, the countries largest skinhead Nazi gang. Amish community, an Indian reservation with the most dangerous Indian terrorists, European crime lords, south American drug cartels and only a 4 person police dept? All the carnage and not a single fire truck or ambulance to be found... an ex-con who assumes a life as a sheriff and apparently falls into bed with every pin-up model cast (literally lost count) i felt like i was watching a youporn movie! Every single time another hot female character hit the screen, Hood immediately starts having sex with them. Was so predictable. Apparently, everyone has nine lives and somehow magically survives thousands of punches to the face with pipes and wood beams and only ends up with a little blood on their lip, wounds also apparently heal over night. No one seems effected by bullets, stab wounds and whatever else they wrote into the script. Automatic rifles galore, thousands of rounds firing at the person who is running away but never gets hit... hope you like story-time folks, because before any hit is about to be completed, you get to watch the guy with the gun who has the other guy deat-to-rights tell a romantic story about "yesterday" and how disappointed they are in them, but the story only lasts long enough to allow the guy to get away... the writing is such a joke. It's the most ridiculously written far fetched series i've ever seen. Lost count on how many plot holes there were and how many illogical choices were made under the reality of the show. This is simply an action series for people with low standards who have a difficult time following more complex plots.
A series that shows the backstories of the characters in Banshee, especially Lucas Hood.
Interesting supplement to Banshee. Shows well the backstories and blends them well into the main Banshee narrative. Not as compelling as Banshee, as it really isn't substantial enough to stand on its own. However, an entertaining and interesting enough add-on.

One of my favorite series. Incredible actors, writing, and production. Intense and emotional. It's got everything. You fall in love w/ the characters - the story line is intriguing keeps you entertained and guessing. Brilliant.
It was the delicious looks of Antony Starr aka Lucas Hood that brought Banshee to my attention. The intended reason was, I would watch this show just to perv on Starr. To my upmost surprise I found myself being absorbed into the characters and the storyline. From the time Hood walked away from the gates of prison to him riding away from Banshee This series took me in and I didn't ever want to leave. Just sheer brilliance on display for all. I will never be honoured in my lifetime to see a TV series like Banshee again. Realised that I had fallen in love with Lucas Hood and not Antony Starr.🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
