- Pete and Myka return to Washington DC, to investigate a series of victims drowning on dry land where they run into a pair of fellow Secret Service agents with a surprising secret - a secret which forces Myka and Pete to evaluate where their own relationship has taken them. Meanwhile, Artie uses an artifact to take Claudia back into his memories of an old case, to show her the truth about her sister.—Anonymous

We open at the B&B with Claudia and Steve talking about how her sister is still alive and Artie has been lying to her. She was supposed to have died in a car wreck with her parents. Claudia thinks it was a Warehouse case and wants to investigate. Artie enters and says he wants to help her, no catch.
Mrs. F and Myka talk about how she is now free and clear. She asks if Myka can still have children. Myka says she isn't looking at that right now. Mrs. F says there's no reason to close the door and possibilities are important. Myka says she'd first have to find someone to do it with. Pete offers himself and says they don't even have to have sex. Pete says how about in 10 years if neither is with someone else. Myka blows off the discussion.
In Washington,D.C. a congressman plays racquetball with a fracking lobbyist. After the game the lobbyist starts choking and begins spitting out water. He dies. Pete and Myka come to investigate and run into some old buddies on the Secret Service beat. The buddies joke that people thought they'd either hook up or kill each other. Pete says both are still possible.
The other agents are saying the dead guy coughed up sand and water. They wonder if it's some twisted message since he was an oil and gas lobbyist. The other agents say they know that Pete and Myka are into the supernatural so they'll team up to work the case together. Pete and Myka don't seem very happy about this.
Back at the Warehouse, Artie admits that her parents accident was his case and they're going to go into his memories to show her what happened so she'll see why he did what he did. He says he and Claudia are going into his memory together so they both make out. They touch an artifact and go into the past to Claire's school where she had her "first incident." People are running out of the school in fear. In a classroom, Claire is levitating in a tornado-like whirl that is sending objects everywhere as people dodge them.
Myka, Pete, and the other agents look into the bill the fracking guy was trying to get passed. Pete hits on the woman. She blows him off and leaves. Myka busts him for hitting on her. He says his offer of platonic child-bearing is still good.
In a parking garage, another man, a senator, is felled by the water/sand spontaneous drowning.
Myka and Pete and the other agents come to investigate the scene. Myka notices a parking ticket in the other agent's car, he blows it off. Myka notices salt on the Senator's driver side window. They join Pete and the female agent in the senator's office where they are interviewing his chief of staff. She says the senator often had contact with the lobbyist. The four of them split up after. Myka tells Pete about the salt and thinks the victims are drowning in seawater. They have to find the next victim.
Artie and Claudia continue their journey. Artie told Mrs. F. that whatever artifact Claire is using must be very powerful, Mrs. F tells him to be careful.
Pete and Myka talk to the chief of staff who says she has no interest in replacing the senator. They notice the fracking bill and want to look into other senators who also sponsored the bill. They try to call Ted and Elise, the other agents, but their phones are off, and Pete and Myka start to suspect them as the perpetrators. They go to the place where Ted got the ticket, a courthouse. It turns out they're not out to kill a judge in favor of fracking, they just got married at the courthouse. They said they had to keep it quiet and that's why they've been acting weird. They got a call on another victim.
Artie and Claudia go to her old house and her parents are taking Claire to a doctor and she doesn't want to go and she gets mad and then Claire freaks out, turns into a vortex, and slams her parents car repeatedly into a tree killing them. When the effect ends she passes out. Mrs. F. and Artie are looking on in a nearby car.Claudia sees this all and freaks out.
Claudia and Artie enter his memory of going into the house and talking to a 7-year-old Claudia herself. She sits quietly on the carpet. The child Claudia knows it was bad and past Artie tries to comfort her. She points out a music box-- Frances Farmer's music box which triggers telekinetic outbursts when triggered with anger-- in the fire and says she knew that's what made Claire mad. He wonders how she knew about the artifact. She says she just knew. Artie hugs her and calls her very smart. Mrs. F. sedates Claire and they take her and they leave Claudia with a neighbor until a relative can arrive. Mrs. F. says they should keep an eye on her and Artie says Claudia's a very special girl. Because the artifact was destroyed in the fire they weren't able to cure Claire so they put her in an artifact-induced coma. Claudia is worried that her throwing the music box in the fire-- if she did-- is what meant Claire couldn't be cured and wants to go into her own memories of the day to see. She and Artie pop out of his memory and back to the Warehouse.
Pete, Myka, Ted, and Elise head to the home of the latest victim, a real estate investor. They can't find a connection to fracking or the senator and lobbyist. They find out the dead guy used to be a bartender at a club less than a year ago, so he had a big jump in employment and finances. They go to the club and find out that the guy got a big inheritance and left the bar. Myka asks Elise about Ted and Pete asks Ted about Elise and they say they just sort of woke up one day and realized they were partners at work and partners in life. The other agents ask about Pete and Myka and they both deny it, vigorously but Ted and Elise says there's a vibe there between them.
They realize the hotel where the bar is had been involved in a political scandal where a woman disappeared after being seen with a senator at the bar. There was speculation that the senator was sleeping with the woman and whether it was true or not, his life was ruined and he committed suicide. The dead senator from the beginning of the episode took over the disgraced senator's seat. They figure that someone is killing people as revenge for the ruin of the disgraced senator. Myka thinks the next victim might be the reporter who broke the story.
Claudia wants to go to the real Claire, wherever she is in her coma and via her own memories. Artie doesn't want to and says some things should be left alone. Claudia is insistent and wants to know the truth about her history and where she comes from and says she'll let it go after this. Artie wants to go himself and report back to Claudia to keep her safe. Claudia doesn't like that. Steve offers to go instead as a neutral party.
They go to see Claire whose literally suspended from the ceiling with headphones on, in her artifact-induced coma. She's listening to Oliver Sacks' record player and suspended in Joseph Pilates resistance bands to keep her muscles from atrophying. Artie says it was the most humane thing they could do.
Pete and Myka go to the reporter who says she wasn't part of any conspiracy and they're out of luck. And then she promptly begins drowning right in front of them. They place an artifact neutralizer on her body and save her. They wonder if it was something she said, perhaps the lie she told about not knowing about the conspiracy and the trigger is lying. They ask the woman for the truth. The reporter admits there was a conspiracy and she was paid to report the story. She was paid by the winning dead senator's chief of staff who says she's getting out of the business since she doesn't have the stomach for it. Pete asks who else knew what she did.
Claudia speaks to Claire and asks her if she can show her what happened to the music box. Artie allows them to go into the memories but says he's pulling them out at the first sign of trouble. They go back into Claire's memories to a rummage sale where Claire and little Claudia are rummaging around. Claire sees a music box and picks it up and Claudia says it's bad and she should put it down. Claire opens it and the music box infects her. Claire buys the box.
Ted and Elise bicker in the senator's office and Pete and Myka look on and laugh. Myka says she's glad they have boundaries: work is work and personal is personal. Pete says yup they work together every day and live together at a B&B every night. The chief of staff pulls out an agent artifact weapon and puts the whammy on Ted. He tells a lie and starts drowning. Pete runs after the woman but she is gone. Pete and Myka neutralize him. Ted tells them about the old military sword, broken, just the hilt. They realize it's the falsely accused Alfred Dreyfus's broken sword. Elise is confused by this supernatural crazy talk. They realize the last person that she wants to punish is the girl who disappeared who helped ruin the senator. The chief of staff finds her and puts the whammy on her.
Steve and Claudia go back to the day of her parents' death. Little Claudia tries to tell them that it's the music box making Claire go bad. Claire herself threw the music box into the fire after Claudia complained about it. It wasn't Claudia's fault. Claudia and Steve pop back into the present. Claudia is touched that even though he sister was clearly in distress in the memory she stayed long enough to show Claudia it wasn't her fault.
Pete and Myka go through the chief of staff's desk and find the paper trail for the conspiracy including checks made out to the woman who had been missing.
Back at her house, she tries to get the woman to lie so she will drown but Pete and Myka arrive first. They tell Julia not to say another word. The chief of staff woman whammies herself in a plan to commit suicide. Pete breaks into the garage where she's drowning and he and Myka neutralize the sword and save her so real justice can be served.
Back at the Warehouse, they catalog the sword hilt. Pete tells Myka that he knows he jokes around a lot but in regards to this whole baby thing that for real he thinks it could be possible and if she wants to talk seriously about any version of them/baby etc. they can do that. He then backs off and says he could be wrong and literally runs off.
Claudia visits Claire and tells her that Artie means well but that she is her sister and she is not leaving her like this.
