The feature film ' The Birth Reborn' portrays the serious obstetric reality in the world, which is characterized by an alarming number of cesarean or deliveries with traumatic and unnecessary interventions, as opposed to what is known and recommended by science today. This situation has serious perinatal, psychological, social, anthropological and financial consequences. Through the reports of some of the leading experts in the area and the latest scientific discoveries, the film questions the current obstetric model, leads to a reflection on the new paradigm of the twenty-first century and the future of a civilization born without the so-called 'love hormones', released only under specific conditions of labor. A few correct observations used against the women
15 February 2019 | by ersbelSee all my reviews

A few correct observations used by primitivists against the women just to fulfill the producers' religious beliefs.

Most observations are crap anyway. Say around 9th minute, the round faced talking head talks about women "migrating" to the hospital and how those women have "relinquished" the control of the birth process. Which is a lie on so many levels I have no idea where to start. First, the woman traditionally has no power over her decision. Second, the pregnancy and birth is something mandated by the family. Third, the doctors did like control since the witch doctor was invented. Fourth, what the ignorant calls relinquish is actually a continuation of the state control over the minds and bodies of the people living within a border. The doctors in this case are simply another form of police mandated by the government to have a mission. The women are simply cows farmed to breed soliders, taxpayers, etc.

And this is what makes this documentary disgusting. Because YES, women should have control over their bodies and lives. And YES women should have a free choice even if the chosen option does not fit well with the personal agenda of the one doing the preaching. But the ignorance and obscurantism propagated by this sort of propaganda simply puts more power in the hands of bureaucrats.

These are real tears from women who describe real trauma. But exploiting that in order to get international invitations is dubious. And it would be a good thing if the authorities ignore this. Or else, these tears and suffering will just fuel a new wave of authoritarian control over the minds and bodies of women.
