Storyline

Would Jesus become a symbol of faith, if it were not for the betrayal of Judas? Why, knowing everything in advance, Jesus did not chase Judas away, did not prevent his crime? If everything was predestined, then is Judas Iscariot a traitor, cursed through the ages, or a victim? To answer these questions means to try to unravel the mystery of a strange, inexplicable connection between Jesus and Judas. Written by Anonymous

Great modern classic
12 August 2014 | by pokrovsky-1See all my reviews

An excellent adaptation of the story of Leonid Andreyev.Very relevant to the subject of the chaste, no nonsense, no false pathos, neither sentiments nor taste TV serial , nothing, than it's nice the new Russian cinema. work of Alexis Shevchenkov just genius. This is a great actor. Nothing in any of the productions of the Evangelical history. While watching at some point is something extremely unpleasant for a Christian, you start to sympathize with Judas, be the same as he. Judas, actually, that's all, it's miserable, not able to cope with the tyranny of their own reasoning a humanity that came to rescue Christ. This movie, in my opinion, much closer to the authenticity of the events which, in fact, there is something unthinkable, impossible, remains a mystery.
