I ll make it very honest whether this review goes live or not, K wave is so over. Everything is so monotonous & using fillers /larping over american culture or english words labels. Variety shows are more like food eating for 80-90% of the time & the amount has only increased in these two decades. Comedy is based on lame clout chasing & completely destroying the humor quotient in the process. Je Seong is the only guy with sense of humor needed for comedians.
Comedy is divided into two types. One is making a fool of yourself to make others laugh. Second is roasting others. Most follow the second type & end up looking narcissistic fools. Only those 'allowed' by society are deemed funny. Same goes for gag comedians, whether they are presented as pathetic fools or clever comedians makes up for how people will receive their jokes/gags.
99.9% of this humorless lot they brought to this show with a completely clueless concept & actually kind of depressing vibes with all the fast forward, cutting off too many scenes, talking interviews in between of acts, what pathetic nonsense have they created ?
I thought they were doing something similar to famous 'documental' japanese series which is hilarious & quite wild & raw.
All this production, polishing by netflix yet its a regurgitated product that makes you want to throw up so bad & will leave you with 'what is this sh ' kind of vibes. Netflix like all their american shows are garbage, like throwing money into Kshows even though the quality of their shows singers dramas has gone down the drain.
I would not recommend this to even people I dont like. The show 'players' was still funny in some places. This is so bad from every angle & i havent had a laugh yet, though I understand korean cultural/lingo jokes very well.
For reference, I find Kim Jong Min far more funnier than Yu Jae Seok who's just annoying as hell, always being cunning. Korean public seems to enjoy bullying in their culture & therefore they enjoy it as kind of humor as well. Good quality banter is still okay but the quality here is so gross.
I hope they stop trying to act global & superstar like, kpop kdrama kvariety kcomedy.. things dont get better by adding K to them.
