Surprisingly good and funny
4 September 2017 | by LLgoatJSee all my reviews

I am not sure why I watched this as I expected it to be awful. However it wasn't. It tells the story of a nightclub owner who is part of a yearly bet on which celebrity will die next. Desperate for the S500k that the bet has risen to and having The Hoff as his bet, he decides to kill The Hoff.

The Hoff plays himself and sends himself up. There are plenty of references to Baywatch and Knightrider. These are genuinely funny, especially when he saves someone drowning in his pool. Add in a black gay easily offended gangsters enforcer and other funny characters and you have a funny great film.

This won't win any awards and if you want to watch a film to impress your friends, this is not it. However this is a surprisingly good film and David Hasslehoff does what he does best, playing himself for full comic effect.
