Rose Cooper is an uptight and by-the-book cop whose name has become synonymous with screw-ups. She's given a chance to redeem herself one day when she is assigned to protect a federal witness, Daniella Riva, the vivacious and outgoing widow of a drug boss. As the two polar opposites race through Texas, they find themselves pursued by everyone from crooked cops to murderous gunmen. However, their greatest obstacle to making this out alive may be themselves as they learn that Cooper has now been considered a fugitive fleeing with Daniella. Written by HenryZ

The cuff shackling Daniella to Cooper during the bus chase is obviously so big that she could have freed herself from it at any time. After the chase has ended, Sofía Vergara accidentally pulls her hand halfway out of it (a second before Cooper says "Move! Move!"), then hurriedly slides it back on her wrist. See more »

critics have no sense of humor
17 May 2015 | by nosugrofSee all my reviews

Critics are those who will tell you, that the movie, that you are laughing your head off at, isn't funny. Critics must be serious. They have lost their sense of humor. Snooty people and critics study the development of film at the cinema. Real People watch movies.

Hot Pursuit works much better than Heat. The only difference between Heat and any male buddy movie is the two female leads. The chemistry between Reese Witherspoon and Sofia Vigera in Hot Pursuit works very well. Most of the gags are very funny. I would like to ask critics, if the movie wasn't funny, why was I laughing? Maybe the critics wasted too much time in film school and not mingling with real people.
