Rose Cooper is an uptight and by-the-book cop whose name has become synonymous with screw-ups. She's given a chance to redeem herself one day when she is assigned to protect a federal witness, Daniella Riva, the vivacious and outgoing widow of a drug boss. As the two polar opposites race through Texas, they find themselves pursued by everyone from crooked cops to murderous gunmen. However, their greatest obstacle to making this out alive may be themselves as they learn that Cooper has now been considered a fugitive fleeing with Daniella.Written by

Mrs. Riva, I'm Officer Cooper. I'm here to escort you to Dallas. You must have not seen me.
Oh, I saw you. I was trying to hit your flat ass.
Mrs. Riva, I am a police officer.
Oh please! Look at you! You are teeny tiny! You look like a little dog that I can put in my purse.
I can assure you, ma'am, that I meet the minimum height requirement of an adult female my weight.

Sitting outside for weeks in front of my local theater waiting for Hot Pursuit, I met some really interesting people who were really digging my commitment to see this movie. I finally got in line, went to the front of the theater where nobody sits, and had a blast! But wait, this was during the previews. The movie finally started, and the action was intense and non-stop. The acting by these two Oscar-caliber people will get your pulse pounding. The plot moves along like syrup going up a tree in Maine in January, the screenplay written in meticulous detail like the deflate-gate investigation, and the ending is as satisfying as the one in Jaws IV. See this movie. Redbox won't do it justice. It's an instant classic.
