Storyline

Trout is out of the picture and old chief Vick already accepted a job elsewhere and offers O'Hara a promotion if she joins, so Lassiter hopes to be picked. The mayor however interviews candidates who stand a better chance due to networking and Lassie makes a pitiful impression. His last hope is solving the old murder of the mayor's uncle Archie Baxter. Psych digs into the past (where regular cast doubles as late characters), a saucy nightclub scene with convoluted intrigues with staff and customers. When they crack it, Lassie gets second thoughts.
