- TriviaMost of the characters and weapons in the game are named after other characters and weapons from Modern Warfare 2. The Ghosts are named after Modern Warfare 2 character Ghost and even have masks made after the mask Ghost wears. Riley the German shepherd is named after Ghost's real name (Simon Riley), and the honey badger assault rifle is named after an assault vehicle.
- GoofsDuring the "Clockwork" level, Merrick's Spanish has a thick U.S. accent to the point that it would not fool a native speaker.
- Quotes
Elias T. Walker: He's my son!
Gabriel Rorke: [Just before he shoots Elias three times] Yeah... and he's going to get to watch you die.
David 'Hesh' Walker: No! No! Dad!
David 'Hesh' Walker: [When Elias is thrown to the ground next to Logan] I'll kill you, you hear me? I'll kill you, you son of a bitch! I'm gonna kill you! Mother fucker!
Elias T. Walker: [Last words to Logan] I'm proud of you, Logan. Everything's gonna be... okay.
Gabriel Rorke: [When Rorke puts his right foot on Elias' head, about to be killed] Oh... you are right, Elias. I'm not a Ghost. I'm the man that hunts them, and sends them back to the other side.

Every piece of criticism the campaign has gotten is totally justified. For those unfamiliar, here they are, to name a few:
Bad dialogue, a clichéd villain, cheesiness, bland heroes, clumsy voice acting, plot contrivances, a lack of consequences, a dumb f'n ending, and a plot as rehashed as The Hangover's.
That being said, it's a guilty pleasure of mine. I see it as mindless, bloody fun with plenty of replay value. I play through it at least once year. And Rorke's appearance reminds me fondly of Staff Sergeant Barnes from Platoon, which is one of my favorite movies. And considering one of the characters is named Elias and he's fighting someone who looks like Sergeant Barnes, I like that little reference. Also, I like the time period. It's the future but not quite the future, you know?
All I can really say in the way of praise is... 1. Keegan was kind of cool.
2. This is one of the best-looking Call of Duty games. It's very aesthetically pleasing from the environments to the soldiers themselves.
