Storyline

The Governor convinces his new community that it is in their best interests to take over the prison and if necessary, use force to do so. Not everyone is comfortable with that approach - Lilly and Meghan stay behind, with tragic consequences. The Governor and his crew appear at the prison and has two bargaining chips with him - Herschel and Michonne are his prisoners. He tells Rick to be out by sundown. Rick for his part tries to reason with him but the die is cast. In the ensuing battle, many - from both sides - are killed. Written by garykmcd

Trivia

During the fight scene between Rick and the Governor, respective actors Andrew Lincoln and David Morrissey insisted that they film the scene themselves instead of using stunt people. This created a genuineness because the actors have worked together for so long. See more »

As the Governor hits Michonne in the face, there is a metal gas can behind the red one he just sat down that wasn't in the previous shot. See more »

Quotes

Rick Grimes: [points to Tara] You. You in the ponytails. Is this what you want? Is this what any one of you want?
Mitch Dolgen: What we want is what you got. Period. Time for you to leave, asshole.
Rick Grimes: Look, I've fought him before. And after, we took in his old friends. They've become leaders in what we have here. Now you put down your weapons, walk through those gates... you're one of us. We let go of all of it, and nobody dies. Everyone who's alive right now. Everyone's who's made it this far. We've all done the worst kinds...

the best series like the best movie from frank darabont
2 December 2013 | by fme-aminmohammadiSee all my reviews

the only problem that bother me is why rick Doesn't talk about gov. Massacre in front of new group people to change their mind? mid-season final episode was really emotional and thriller but if all episodes have 30 percent of this thrill, all episodes will be rated more than 9. the walking dead and specially Frank Darabont have more fans than you imagine, and i think walking dead is far better than every series that aired till now. i miss carol in this episode fight too and that will be more better if she came and help with backup but i think she will have effect on the next season story.and in the end, thank you frank for this, for shawsheng.. and for all your works.
