'Dont even think about it' tells a story about Trond-Soeren, a man in search of meaning in what seems to be an absurd, lonely and gloomy existence. After meeting the two police officers Bjarne and Rhode who are investigating a murder case, Trond-Soeren realizes that there is a whole new world out there that he has yet to discover. This is a good portrait of humor and loneliness in a character, if you like dark, black slightly surreal you gonna enjoy this.
It follows Trond, starts of lightly we get introduced to him a seemingly typical happy person, slightly distant but happy. We watch him going through everyday life, At first on his neighborhood in his block. Until two police officers show up in front of his door, and it slowly unfolds the weirdness and emptiness of his life. There is a hole in his life it doesn't show in the beginning but you gradually understand. The funny part is the way he deals with it. not that we particularly care for Trond in the beginning, The first parts makes him seem pretty lame but you gradually start to sympathize with the guy. The step of the film and the story takes of fairly quickly. The humor is mostly on the second half of the film and it is good, i wish we could see more off the scene when he is hanging out with Elsa the body. The deep part is the underlying theme of the story, things people do for affinity. I recommend this short. It's honest, fun and entertaining. It leaves you with a feeling of "what the f*** just happened", i mean that in a good way! I also do wander where Trond is, and if he has found what he looked for.
It's indie, charming and over to soon. I would have liked to see a longer version.
