Storyline

In the series premiere, after a slew of brutal slayings, District 21 led by Sergeant Hank Voight go after a Colombian drug cartel cleaning house in Chicago. They discover D'Anthony who proves to be an asset in the investigation. At District, complicated histories and unit rivalries surface which could end up costing them one of their own. Meanwhile, Rookie Adam Ruzek is pulled from the police academy by Olinsky to join the team.

Goofs

Voight makes a significant tactical error after the shots are fired, albeit a common one TV cops make. In a shots fired situation, officers such as the ones in the patrol car would be deployed to the rear of the building to prevent the escape of the occupant(s). Instead, all of the officers congregate at the front of the building. A similar error is made later on at the apartment building, which results in a vehicle pursuit.
