Did You Know?

The time period - firmly set in the 2014 era, with internet hacking and smartphones - was intertwined with props from a previous era - with cassette recorders and landline telephones. This was done on purpose, as director Eubanks felt the addition of "old tech" works as a possible misdirect. See more »

When Nic and Jonah are decrypting the IP address of the person they believe to the hacker named "Nomad", Jonah starts to dictate the IP address to Nic, and start writing it to the wall. But after this scene, this IP address is not written in the wall.

Whilst we hear the full IP address spoken, we never explicitly see it written down in full (camera angle). Also interesting to note, is how he repeats 147. There's nothing to suggest however he actually writes this down in order either as we see the first 3 octets afterwards, but 147 does appears twice on the wall, one of which is circled. See more »

Beautiful, low-budget sci-fi
29 May 2014 | by See all my reviews

This film caught my eye because it had Laurence Fishburne. It's shallow, I know, but I am also a sci-fan fan and that's what sold it. The movie was a pleasant escape from reality, though at times, I was fiddling a bit in my chair. There were some long scenes of silence and eye candy, artistic nostalgic-type flashbacks. I enjoyed that the characters are young and the director is young, so the movie feels fresh. For the most part the plot is realistic, but some parts (won't spoil it) weren't. I followed the movie with interest, and was very impressed by the animation and graphics. The acting was good, included romance, action, a bit of humor, and of course, psychological thriller. Other sci-fi movies bend my mind leaving me dumbfounded, but this one was more entertainment, which is kind of a relief.
