Secret Eaters show really highlights how easy it is for people to drastically underestimate how much they eat. The part I like the most is, that just by cutting down on snacks and portion size and getting into a normal amount of calories a day, you can lose weight slowly and steadily. I wish they would make an American version of Secret Eaters bc a lot of people here would benefit from it. As a work from home mother I noticed the scale starting to creep up myself, but I couldn't understand why bc it didn't feel like I was overeating. But after I started tracking my calories and exercise I realized that I was only getting any form of real exercise twice a week and my portion sizes were too big-way too big. Just by getting calories under 2000 a day and bumping my exercise to 250 (about 35 mins on a stationary bike) a day has solved the problem. After my husband sat down and watched Secret Eaters he started tracking his calories too. We still eat great, we still splurge a couple times a week, but our day to day has healthy limits and we're more active.
