Siblings Desiree, Johnny, and Mitchell started a band in their late teens and the band eventually fell apart in their 20s. Desiree and Mitchell got into a fight which destroyed the band. Then 10 years later the siblings are brought together and it's up to them whether or not they will perform.

When their beloved father was alive, drummer Mitchell, guitarist Danny and singer Desiree 'Des' Banner ware a rising teen band, managed by him into the pride of their small town Texan home Pinewood Hills. After his deed, Danny started another career while Mitch and Des split out of town on separate musical careers. After years without contact the siblings return home as single adults, told meddling widow mother Rosalind Banner has serious heart problems. That proves exaggerated as a ploy to reunite the family, and to revive the banner project band for the annual 4th of July festival, as last hope to prevent Des's ex, local lawyer Colin Roth, foreclosing on the municipality.
