Reality TV or not, Dark Secrets provides the thrill and chill that lovers of the Twilight Zone, Arthur C. Clarke, Beyond Belief, Weird or What, and Beyond Bizarre would enjoy. The thrill exists behind the idea that the stories could be at least partially based on real events. The voice over of the shows only main character (The Teller) helps add to the eerie feel in each episode. Should you choose to pick it apart based on its "found footage", photo documentation, or samples, the show will lose its appeal to you. It is geared towards those who entertain the notion that there are unseen, undiscovered, and mysterious things abound in this world. Take the shows key character, The Teller. He is a story teller, should you choose to see it that way. The effort taken in the production of this show exceeds that of other more recent "reality TV" shows related to sci-fi and cryptozoology. Take it for what it is and allow yourself to be entertained. If the show continued, I would watch future episodes, so long as they did not change their format too much, the cast is reasonable, and utilize the same actor to do the voice of The Teller.
