Storyline

Amar, Akbar & Tony follows the lives and loves of three childhood friends through twists and turns as the characters face sudden and unforeseen changes to their idealistic and trouble-free young lives. With hilarious and sometimes tragic consequences, the brotherly bond shared by the trio is forced to come to terms with some unexpected challenges. Interracial marriage, near fatal accidents and stints in prison will test old friendships and family values. A coming of age comedy drama showing the absurdities of life can also be the most amusing. British Independent film with Big Balls

Brilliant story. That is the first thing you take home at the end of the night. Then you realise the characters were well written: funny, vulnerable and lovable. You wanted the three title roles to finish on top, you cared.

The style was a brave mix of British comedy, indulgent Bollywood and an all new dish of Malhotra (The guy who wrote and directed it). The laugh out loud moments were great. Opening night at the restaurant was cringe worthy, hilarious and heartwarming all at the same time.

All in all a great watch.
